Common Ground
Two things can build community: an exterior enemy… or to accomplish together what exceeds your own strength.
Since a common enemy is what Tutsi & Hutu posed to each other, the project argues, that no symbolic gesture could truly cross this divide.
So rather than building a symbol, the actual gesture of building itself is what holds the ability of creating community.
